The age groups 20 to 29 and 30 to 39 continue to grow in 2024 and form the largest segment of the cinema audience.
In 2024, more than three quarters of all Austrian 20- to 29-year-olds will be in front of a movie screen.
This development once again underlines the relevance of cinema as a medium for the young target group.
It also shows that over 90% of moviegoers see the communal experience as a decisive argument for going to the cinema. The social component therefore remains a key factor in the success of the cinema.
